A guardian ad litem appointment is a unique and complex assignment and, as such, requires education, training and experience with the regard to the needs of children. Every guardian ad litem shall complete eight (8) hours of continuing legal education credits every two years provided by the West Virginia Supreme Court.  Please see the Statement of Completion for current training requirements.

Once you have completed the online training please complete the Statement of Completion, and Information Form, and return by email to Pepper Arrowood at pepper.arrowood@courtswv.gov in order to receive your certificate of completion and be included on the Family Court GAL list.
