Accessibility Statement

The Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia (the “Court”) is committed to providing equal access to information, services, and digital content for people of all abilities. We strive to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, which outline best practices for making web content more accessible to a wider range of people, including those with visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive disabilities.

Accessibility is an ongoing effort where we continually review our websites to identify and correct issues, update content, and improve user experience. Our staff also receives training in best practices for digital accessibility to help them better oversee and conduct internal audits of our digital content, administer automated testing tools, and engage in manual testing with assistive technologies.

We encourage you to contact us by email at ADA@courtswv.gov or by phone at 304-558-0145 if you experience any of the following:
•    difficulty accessing any resources or content on this site,
•    the format of any material on our website interfering with your assistive technology, or
•    if you encounter any area of this website that you believe is not accessible and wish to report it.

When emailing or calling us, please include your contact information and a brief description of your request.

We will work with you to provide the information in an accessible format, though certain requests may require additional time to arrange. We cannot provide legal advice or representation.
