DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Domestic violence is a serious and oftentimes deadly problem affecting families and communities in West Virginia. The court system is dedicated to treating domestic violence with the seriousness it deserves and enforcing the laws of West Virginia to deter, prevent, and reduce incidences of domestic violence.
The Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia has released an 18-minute video explaining the domestic violence petition process, which can be accessed above. Four shorter videos can be viewed on the Court's YouTube Channel.
