Magistrate Courts
Magistrate Record Search
This free system increases access to online magistrate court information. Anyone with a computer or mobile device can enter a first or last name or a case number and the system will generate a list of up to 30 records. Court documents themselves are not available online. Users are instructed to call or visit the magistrate court clerk in the county where a case is filed to obtain copies of specific court records. The clerk will charge a nominal fee required by law. The search system helps callers and visitors to know what to ask for and which county they need to contact.
Phone numbers for magistrate court clerks are on the West Virginia Judiciary website, www.courtswv.gov, under Court Information By County.
