About the Drug Court
The Cabell County Drug Court opened in the Sixth Judicial Circuit on August 13, 2009. It was the ninth drug court to open in West Virginia. It is an adult drug court that handles post-plea and probation violation cases.
Court Personnel Involved
Judge Alfred Ferguson is the Circuit Judge of the Cabell County Drug Court.
Family Court Judge Patricia Keller presides over day-to-day operations of the drug court. Judge Keller graduated from West Virginia University College of Law in 1983. She has worked as an instructor at Marshall University and as an attorney practicing in Cabell, Mason, Putnam, and Wayne Counties. She became a Family Court Judge in the Sixth Family Court Circuit (Cabell County) in 1999 and also works as an instructor at West Virginia University.
Joshua Parlier serves as the Drug Court Coordinator/Probation Officer for the drug court. Mr. Parlier graduated from Marshall University with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and a minor in psychology. He previously worked in the mental health field and criminal justice system.
